Manchester United forward Bryan Mbeumo has said that Ruben Amorim’s pitch convinced him to sign for the club this summer. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, despite speaking to several other managers who were interested in his services, Ruben Amorim’s pitch stood out to him.

Mbeumo added that he never feared the deal wouldn’t happen despite the delay because he was convinced that it would get sorted eventually.
His words, “No [I never feared it would not happen], I always trust the people around me and I was convinced that it was going to happen.
The transfer windows can be long, they can be short. So you have to be patient, and just try to keep thinking positively about things. I was obviously on my holidays, so I just wanted to think about resting mentally and physically and if it was going to happen, it was going to happen.
Of course, I spoke to some other managers because I wanted to hear their projects but the Manchester United one was very good for me. I think I’m someone who likes a challenge.
There is a very good project in Manchester and I wanted to be part of it. Manchester is a big club. I think it’s a great opportunity.
He said ‘We are people who like winning and we want to be the best team’. And of course that’s what we will try to do. It was a very friendly conversation and a constructive one.
He explained his project to me, what he wanted to do and I really clicked on that. I spoke to him and, yeah, he wanted me to come. It’s always good to have someone like him around.”
WOW.
Manchester United Football Club, commonly referred to as Man United or simply United, is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the top division in the English football league system.
Nicknamed the Red Devils, they were founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, but changed their name to Manchester United in 1902. After a spell playing in Clayton, Manchester, the club moved to their current stadium, Old Trafford, in 1910.
Alex Ferguson and his assistant Archie Knox arrived from Aberdeen on the day of Atkinson’s dismissal, and guided the club to an 11th-place finish in the league. Despite a second-place finish in 1987–88, the club was back in 11th place the following season. Reportedly on the verge of being dismissed, Ferguson’s job was saved by victory over Crystal Palace in the 1990 FA Cup final.
The following season, Manchester United claimed their first UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup title. That triumph allowed the club to compete in the European Super Cup for the first time, where United beat European Cup holders Red Star Belgrade 1–0 at Old Trafford. The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992 the left and the right, but he’s not got any sense of danger yet, and empties the midfield area too readily.
