Bayer Leverkusen manager, Xabi Alonso has come out to dismiss speculations linking him with replacing Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, now is not the best time to discuss the future at Bayer Leverkusen, and he’d rather not talk about speculation and rumours at such a very important moment in the season.
Alonso added that finishing the season well with his current club is all that matters to him right now.
His words, “It’s not a good time to discuss the future. We’re at a very important moment in the season. I don’t want to talk about speculation and rumours. [I understand] that this is happening, but what’s more important to me is what’s happening right now.”
