Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has come out to say that Harry Maguire must leave club if he is not confident enough to prove his worth. He recently insisted that he is happy with his ex-captain, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, it is obvious that Maguire has the ability to be a top-class centre-back since he has proven to be a top defender for the English national team.
Erik, however, added that if Harry feels he cannot fight it out with Varane, Licha and Lindelof for a spot, then he has to go elsewhere.
His words, “He has the ability to be a top-class centre-back. He is the best for England so why shouldn’t he be the best for us? But he has to prove it. When he is not confident enough to fight then he has to go, then he has to make a decision. But I’m happy with him.”
