Juventus defender, Matthijs de Ligt has come out to say that he is weighing his options before signing a contract extension with the Italian giants. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, negotiations are currently ongoing as per his Juventus future, and he will decide whether to extend or look elsewhere very soon.
De Ligt added that 2 consecutive fourth-place finishes are not enough for a club as big as Juve, therefore things must improve.
His words, “Negotiations are ongoing at the moment and when the time comes I will decide whether to extend or look elsewhere. I always look at what is best for me in terms of the sporting project.”
“Two consecutive fourth-place finishes are not enough, we have to make progress in that direction because these are disappointing results. Juventus are a club that always wants and must become champions.”
