After completing his move to Everton, Nigerian star Henry Onyekuru announced the signing first before the club.
As Pulse Sports reported on Tuesday, June 27, Everton beat the likes of Arsenal and West Ham to the signing of Onyekuru.
The Nigeria international had a brilliant season with Belgian side KAS Eupen scoring 22 goals to finish joint-goalscorer in the Belgian top division.
Ahead of his move to Everton, the 20-year-old underwent a successful medicals at Everton’s Finch Farm training base.
After completing the move, the forward took to his Instagram to announce the move before the club’s official statement.
“So happy to sign for Everton #thankful #everton,” Onyekuru wrote alongside a photo of himself in Everton shirt in front of a large Everton club crest.
According to reports, Everton will send Onyekuru back to Belgium on a season-long loan back to with Anderlecht.
Everton are however yet to release any statement on the signing of Onyekuru.
