Chelsea’s new signing Estevao Willian has come out to say that he is nervous ahead of his career at Stamford Bridge. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, his Chelsea career is a difficult dream he wants to fulfil, and the closer he gets to his official signing in July, the more his anxiety rises.
Estevao added that he’ll keep focusing on being level-headed while he does his talking on the pitch.
His words, “It’s very difficult, it’s a dream that I’m going to make come true, knowing that I have to focus here and work. It’s not easy, you have to keep your head here. The closer it gets, the more anxiety sets in, the butterflies in your stomach.
I’m trying to focus as much as possible here to leave well, with my head held high and through the front door and knowing that I gave my best. Sometimes it’s difficult, you imagine yourself in Europe, playing with several other players, with everything that Europe represents, a dream of mine.”

On 7 May 2022, Chelsea confirmed that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjörg Wyss, to acquire the club. The group was later known as BlueCo.
The UK government approved the £4.25bn takeover, ending Abramovich’s 19-year ownership of the club. Bruce Buck, who served as chairman since 2003, was replaced by Boehly, while long-serving club director and de facto sporting director Marina Granovskaia left, as did Petr Čech from the role of technical and performance advisor.
