Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has said that she once dated a young man. She recently shared details about her love life, dating history, and her thoughts on remarrying during a conversation on the Dear Ife series.
Speaking during an interview, Shaffy revealed that dating a younger man was actually a fun and seasonal experience for her.
According to her, however, while dating a man she is older than was thrilling, she does not intend to pursue such a relationship again.
Bello stated that there is nothing wrong with an older woman dating someone younger, but she wants something different now.
“There is no need for me to date a younger man. I have dated a younger man and don’t want to do it again. What I want now is different.
When I dated a younger man, I was having fun. It was for a season, and the season is over. But there is nothing wrong with it,” she said.
The movie star further noted that she receives messages from both older and younger admirers regularly, but most of them often come off as unserious.
The actress concluded by saying that she is more open to remarrying nowadays because her views on marriage have evolved over the years.
“Men slide into my DMs, over 50 and even younger men. It’s flattering, but the thing is, some of them are badly behaved. Some will tell me ‘Hi, dear’
What I want now is marriage. I don’t mind marriage. But I have a different opinion when it comes to marriage. I think a lot of people are rigid about it,” she added.
