Napoli chief Leonardo Giammarioli has said that he sees Scott McTominay returning to the EPL. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, even though the club fears the constant rumours of a Premier League return for Scott, Napoli believes McTominay deserves a move to the next level in the future.
He added that the financial dominance of English clubs will continue to be a major hurdle for Serie A sides.
His words, “Yeah, of course I’m worried. But ultimately, especially Scott, who’s a very nice guy, we’re happy if he gets to the next level in a couple of years – maybe not now, maybe not next year, but he deserves it.
Look at Stuttgart, they wanted to keep Nick Woltemade, but when such an offer comes in, there’s not much you can do, when the player wants to go and money is important.
It’s a bit complicated for Serie A and our competitive clubs… the league is still making losses in revenue. Of course, it’s hard to keep up with the other big four leagues, but we’re trying to improve and be competitive.”
