The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially recognised the executive leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), confirming Senator David Mark as the party’s National Chairman.
Details published on INEC’s official website listed other members of the party’s national executive.
They include Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as National Secretary, Mani Ibrahim Ahmad as National Treasurer, and Akibu Dalhatu as National Financial Secretary. Prof. Oserheimen Aigberaodion Osunbor was confirmed as the National Legal Adviser.

The development comes after weeks of internal wrangling within the ADC, following a decision by a coalition of political leaders to adopt the party as their platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
A faction of the party had opposed the move, arguing that David Mark, Aregbesola and others were not duly registered members and therefore could not claim the party’s leadership.
However, with INEC’s latest publication, the Mark-led leadership has now been recognised as the authentic executive of the ADC.
This recognition is expected to shape the direction of the party as it positions itself as a potential force in the 2027 elections.
