The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the extension of the ongoing collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in Anambra State to November 2, 2025.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday in Awka by the Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Mrs. Victoria Eta-Messi.
According to the statement, the extension was approved following several appeals from citizens and stakeholders requesting additional time for eligible voters to collect their cards ahead of the November 8 governorship election.

“The INEC has approved the extension of the ongoing collection of PVCs in Anambra from October 29 to November 2,” Eta-Messi said. “The decision was reached at a meeting of the Commission held on October 27, following several appeals from citizens and stakeholders requesting additional time to enable eligible voters to collect their cards.”
Eta-Messi urged registered voters who have not yet collected their PVCs to take advantage of the extension period and visit the designated collection centres across the 326 Registration Areas (Wards) in the state.
She noted that the exercise covers individuals who registered during the recent Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
The INEC official further emphasized that the collection must be done in person, as no proxy collection will be allowed.
The Anambra governorship election is scheduled to hold on November 8, 2025.
