The results of the governorship elections in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi states, scheduled for November 11, will be delivered online, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
At a recent news conference, Ofiong Efanga, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Bayelsa State, announced that the state would use a manual method to transmit the results of the governorship election.
However, INEC Chairman Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu stated that whatever the Bayelsa REC said should be disregarded during the supervision of the mock election in Lokoja, Kogi State.

According to him, this practise run is being conducted in accordance with the legislation, which calls for electronic accreditation and the uploading of results to the INEC Results Viewing (IReV) portal.
If the REC was quoted incorrectly as saying something different in Bayelsa, you can throw out such reports. For this reason, I will also recommend that anyone who has registered on the IReV portal check it within the next couple of hours; there, they will be able to view the results of the mock election from all three parties, as was done in previous elections.
Yakubu pointed out that the police and military had promised a secure election day.
He said, “Well, so far, so good in terms of assurance from the security agencies, as we can see; they are even here for the mock election, and next Friday, there is going to be a high-level meeting in Abuja, chaired by myself and the National Security Adviser, in which all the security chiefs will be present to discuss the issue of security for the three states.
When it comes to security measures and personnel deployment, we are, therefore, well prepared.
