England legend, Alan Shearer has come out to react after fans turned on Gareth Southgate and threw cups at the manager at Euro 2024. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, it was totally wrong for England fans to throw cups of beer at the manager of their national team, and even if supporters should be allowed to vent their frustration, there are better ways to go about things.

Shearer added that he respects Southgate for trying to take the blame for underwhelming performances while leaving his players out of it.
His words, “He knows the reaction of the crowd towards him, and it was totally wrong getting cups of beer thrown at him, that’s not right. Fans can vent their frustrations, but not like that.
But he understands, and his words were that he may be the problem, what he’s doing is trying to take the heat off the players and put it on him, because he can handle it and that’s what top managers would do when a team is under pressure.”
WOW.
