Former England international Andy Carroll has officially joined Dagenham & Redbridge. He recently joined the club competing in the sixth tier of English football as both a player and a shareholder following the club’s recent takeover by a Qatari investment consortium.
According to him, the move is further proof that he has always played football for the passion, and money has never been the main factor in all of his football decisions.

Carroll added that he was so fortunate to earn so much playing topflight football, but that was never his motive for being a professional footballer.
Her words, “I’m very fortunate to be a footballer and earn the money that I’ve earned. I’m lucky to get paid for a hobby,” he said. “It’s never been about the money for me, I could have signed for a lot more money. I just love playing football.”
WOW.
