The Kaduna State chapter of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has cautioned the general public and its members to beware of individuals allegedly parading themselves as leaders of the party in the state.
The party described as illegal and misleading reports of an inauguration of state executives, insisting that no such exercise was carried out by the recognised leadership of the ADC in Kaduna State.

In a statement issued on Saturday in Kaduna, the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Alex Tagwai, said the purported inauguration did not have the approval of the party and should be disregarded.
Tagwai further disclosed that a former Vice Chairman of the party, Tijani Ahmed, who allegedly spearheaded the claimed inauguration alongside others, had been expelled from the ADC over allegations of extortion and anti-party activities.
“To set the record straight, the misleading and mischievous speculation that a court gave the so-called Tijani Ahmed the right to act on behalf of the party as chairman in Kaduna State is a complete lie,” Tagwai stated.
The Kaduna ADC also challenged the legitimacy of Tijani Ahmed’s claim to leadership, noting that he is not recognised by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, or the national secretariat of the party.
“And if so, Tijani Ahmed should present the legal document that empowers him to assume the position of chairman of the party in the state,” the statement added.
