The Kebbi State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has assured party members and supporters that its leadership structure remains intact despite the party’s recent adoption as the platform for the emerging opposition coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking to journalists in Birnin Kebbi, the state ADC Chairperson, Hajiya Hawa’u Muhammad, popularly known as Yar Buga, described the adoption of the ADC by coalition leaders as a welcome development that would inject fresh energy into the party’s ranks.

“Our executives from the wards to local governments and at the state level remain untouched. The structure of the ADC in Kebbi is stable and intact,” Yar Buga stated.
She pledged the chapter’s full support for the coalition’s mission to unseat the All Progressives Congress (APC), insisting that Nigerians are eager for meaningful change after what she described as the “horrific governance” under the current APC-led administration.
“No sacrifice is too much for Nigerians who are desperate for a shift in leadership. We are solidly behind the coalition and the choice of our party as the platform to rescue Nigeria from the grip of the APC,” she added.
The Kebbi ADC chairperson also emphasised her commitment to party unity and national interest, declaring her readiness to step down if the party’s leadership deems it necessary for the greater good.
“If the party decides someone else should occupy my position, I will gladly step aside. I remain a loyal and committed member. What matters most is a better Nigeria,” Yar Buga affirmed.
InfoStride News recalls that former Senate President David Mark and former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola have been appointed interim leaders of the opposition coalition under the ADC banner.
The coalition aims to form a united front to challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC in the 2027 polls.
