The Kogi State chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has been thrown into mourning following the death of three prominent party members.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday in Lokoja by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo.

According to the statement, those who passed away are Hon. Onojah James Ignatius, Special Adviser to the Governor of Kogi State and former Chairman of Igalamela Local Government Area; Hon. Jatto Onimisi Suleiman, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor; and Alhaji Alih Atabo, APC Chairman of Anyigba Ward in Dekina Local Government Area.
Fanwo said the government and people of Kogi State received the news of their demise with profound sorrow, describing the deceased as distinguished sons of the state who served with dedication and commitment.
He noted that Onojah James Ignatius was a seasoned grassroots mobiliser and administrator whose passion for community development and good governance was evident in all his engagements.
According to him, Hon. Jatto Onimisi Suleiman discharged his duties with humility, diligence and an unwavering sense of responsibility, always placing the interest of the people above personal considerations.
He added that Alhaji Alih Atabo was a committed party stalwart whose devotion to the growth, unity and progress of the APC at the ward level was exemplary.
The commissioner, however, did not disclose the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
He conveyed the condolences of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, as well as those of the Kogi State Government and people, to the families, friends, associates of the deceased and the entire APC family.
