Maj. Gen. Valentine Okoro, GOC 2 Division, Nigerian Army, has tasked the 12th Brigade with maintaining order and calm during the governorship election in Kogi State on November 11.
He also urged them to be courageous and disciplined in carrying out their duties to guarantee a peaceful election across the state.
During a business trip to Lokoja, he shared this piece of advise with the Nigerian Army soldiers stationed at Chari Maigumeri Barracks.
Kogi, Kwara, Edo, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, and Ekiti are all represented in the 2 Division of the Nigerian Army.
“As soldiers, you must exhibit high level of neutrality, professionalism, and discipline before, during, and after the upcoming governorship election in the state,” General Okoro urged.
