Dino Melaye, candidate for governor of Kogi State under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stated on Thursday that he had evaded four attempts on his life.
Melaye stated that the All Progressives Congress, APC, is responsible for the attempts because violence is ingrained in the party’s ideology.
He made the confession during an appearance on Arise TV.
The former senator for Kogi West claimed that ever since the APC came to power seven years ago, anxiety has been an everyday part of life for the Kogi people.
“I have survived four assassination attempts; I have had 12 court cases of FG vs. Dino Melaye, and I have been attacked several times,” said Melaye. The APC has always had a history of violence, so this is nothing new.
Like an evil wilderness in urgent need of renovation, Kogi State is crying out for a saviour.
The former senator has expressed a desire to play a role in relieving the suffering of the state’s residents.
In addition, he claimed that the state of Kogi had never been more politically divided than it is right now.
