The Social Democratic Party (SDP), Kogi State’s main opposition group, has uncovered an attempt to legitimate five armed thugs, suspected of being loyal to the All Progressives Congress (APC), who were captured over the weekend in Ayingba.
The Director of Communications, Faruk Adejoh, released a statement in which he said the ruling party had ordered the security agencies to obtain government vigilante ID cards for the criminals.
“This is so they can make it look like the thugs were actually vigilantes working for the state government to combat crime,” he said.
People in Kogi State live in constant terror that notorious killers like Baba-5-5, Lukmon Shoku, Nuhu, DJ Abass alias Grinya, and Bala ‘Ete’ will be set free and let loose on the helpless populace.
Even though two of the thugs, Baba-5-5 and assignment, have reportedly admitted that the female APC thug slain in Koton-karfe lately was shot by the APC thug, Girya, the unholy plot continues to develop.
The people of Kogi State “should not be left at the mercy of these brazen deadly boys,” the statement reads. “We hereby cry out to Nigerians and the world to add their voices and prevent further bloodshed in Kogi State by insisting that these brazen deadly boys are arraigned and prosecuted.”
He demanded action from President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as the country’s top military and security officials, including the Army’s and Navy’s top brass, the Minister of Defense, the National Security Adviser, and the President himself.
