The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has constituted an electoral committee to oversee the conduct of primaries ahead of the July 12 local government elections.
The Lagos APC Publicity Secretary, Mr. Seye Oladejo, announced this in a statement on Monday.
Oladejo revealed that a former National Legal Adviser of the party, Mr. Babatunde Ogala, has been appointed as the chairman of the committee, while Mr. Babarinde Nurudeen will serve as secretary.
“The committee is empowered to oversee all the activities and processes leading to the conduct of the elections into grassroots positions,” Oladejo stated.
He noted that the party considered the appointees’ immense experience before making the selection and expressed confidence in their ability to deliver on the critical assignment.
“We urge all and sundry to give the requisite support and cooperation to ensure our collective success,” Oladejo added.
