Manchester City midfielder, Mateo Kovacic has come out to talk up his chances of replacing Rodri. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, even if the club clearly misses an important player like Rodri since his serious injury, he believes he has what it takes to step in and get the job done.
Kovacic added that he and his teammates will do everything possible to adapt in the Spaniard’s absence.
His words, “I am playing there in the middle at the moment and of course, we need to cover for Rodri, we miss him a lot.
I think any team would miss him, the player that he is, and we wish him a speedy recovery and hope he comes back as good shape as possible.
For now we have to adapt and for sure the manager has a lot of options so we can rotate.”
