Meek Mill performs during V-103 Live Pop Up Concert at Philips Arena on March 25, 2017 in Atlanta.
Since the release of his 2016 effort Dreamchasers 4, Meek Mill has been very productive in the studio. Over the weekend, the MMG star previewed three new songs on his Instagram, including one with Rick Ross.
“Put my heart and my soul into this project! This gone be my best work by far! All this s–t bought the best out me and I love it! #wins&losses,” wrote Meek on an Instagram post.
After his bold proclamation, he unleashed a flurry of snippets featuring him rapping over some hard-hitting trap-beats. “Run up to me, if you fall, never stay down/Stand up n—a, I could never lay down,” he spews out on one of his records. He also shared a snippet of his forthcoming track with Rick Ross, where the Rather You Than Me star spends part of the intro trashing talking his competitors. “You touch Renzel, you’re going down,” Ross vows.
Despite being pummeled by controversy over the last several months, ranging from his break-up to Nicki Minaj, to his altercation at a St. Louis airport, the mercurial MC has been zeroed in on the music front. After delivering a star-studded concert in his hometown of Philadelphia in February, Meek handed Ross a fiery verse for their new collaboration “Lamborghini Doors,” which resides on Renzel’s newest endeavor.
Last year, Meek promised to release Dreamchasers 4.5. After unveiling the cover art, he remained mum regarding his upcoming work, saying that it would drop “any day.” With his recent output on Instagram, Meek may have revived the project he once promised to liberate.
