The first set of students from have Mercy Aigbe’s film school have graduated.
Aigbe established the Mag School of Drama earlier this year to give back to society and inspire people in pursuit of an acting career.
On August 3, 2016, the actress shared images of students of the institution at their graduation ceremony on Instagram.
She captioned one of the images: “Big congrats to the maiden set of MAG school of drama graduates @magschoolofdrama May this new chapter of life bring you new passion and inspiration. I’m super proud of you guys!…….Peeps watch out for my students in nollywood!”
Aigbe’s film school offers training in acting, script-writing, movie making and stage management.
Speaking on the laudable initiative in July 2016, Mercy Aigbe-Gentry said she feels elated to be an inspiration to young people who want to venture into the make believe world.
“This project means a lot to me, I have received a lot of requests especially from my fans about creating a platform to tutor aspiring actors and I am glad we have finally kicked off. Students will be under the tutelage of well-rounded and experienced instructors who will help them build a solid foundation and develop skills needed to succeed in the highly competitive field of acting”, she said.
In the meantime, the “Victims” actress is set to launch a new mobile app for her fans this month.
