Moji Olaiya’s new movie starring Foluke Daramola and Funsho Adeolu is set to premiere in Lagos on Sunday, July 31, 2016.
The “Iya Okomi” premiere scheduled to hold at Classique Event Place, Ikeja will be hosted by Baba Tee and Lepacious Bose.
When translated from Yoruba to English language, “Iya Okomi” means “ My Mother-in-law”. Olaiya’s movie also features the likes of Fausat Balogun (aka Madam Saje), Mide Funmi Martins, Ronke Oshodi Oke and Ebun Oloyede. The film was shot in Lagos, Nigeria.
This is not the first film produced by the Yoruba actress. She has previously produced “Monsurat” and “Isese”.
Olaiya is the daughter of highlife musician Victor Olaiya. According to reports, her father is likely to perform at the event.
Olaiya is known to star in both Yoruba and English language speaking films. She is known for her roles in “Sade Blade” (2005), “ Nkan adun” (2008) and “Omo iya meta leyi” (2009).
Her acting career began when she first took on a role as Ireti in a Wale Adenuga’s “ Super Story” series “No Pain, No Gain”. Following this, the first feature movie she acted in was “Sunmibare” which was produced by Dimeji Ijaduade.
