CF Mounana have been crowned winners of the 2012/2013 Gabon Super Cup, beating rivals US Bitam 1-0 on Sunday (December 1) in Libreville.
The curtain raiser to the new season featuring the winner of the Gabonese League against the Coupe du Gabon champions was decided by Togolese-import Abdoulaye Ibrahim’s 75th minute goal.
CF Mounana, winners of the Coupe du Gabon made up for their failure to win the league crown where they finished in second place, 10-points behind rivals US Bitam. In attendance was Gabon President, Ali Bongo Ondimba, who presented the trophy to the victorious side.
Meanwhile, the 2013/3014 Gabon Premier League will commence on Sunday, December 22, 2013.
