Newcastle United legend, Alan Shearer has come out to hail Ndidi’s performance vs Liverpool last week Saturday. He recently revealed this while naming Ndidi in his Premier League Team of the Week alongside Fulham’s Josh Maja and Arsenal centre-forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
According to him, Ndidi protected the defence really well in the clash, and he definitely ensured that Foxes won the midfield battle.
He added that Aubameyang was also magnificent with his hat-trick, and he expects his form to improve henceforth.
“He [Ndidi] gave great protection to the defence when Liverpool were on top, and then won the midfield battle when Leicester hit back so impressively,”
On other players that performed well, “With both goals on his full debut, he [Maja] may have just given Fulham a chance of staying up.”
“He [Aubameyang] was magnificent as he scored his first Premier League hat-trick.”
