The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has declared its ambition to become Nigeria’s ruling party in 2027, with its leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, emerging as the next President.
NNPP National Chairman, Dr. Ajuki Ahmad, made this declaration on Thursday during the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja.
Despite internal challenges within the party, Ahmad maintained that the NNPP remains stable across its branches, dismissing concerns over divisions.

“Our party is witnessing only a minor challenge, which is not insurmountable. Unlike other parties facing existential crises, our challenges are negligible.
Those who chose to break away lack the moral, political, and legal basis to harm us,” Ahmad stated.
He also downplayed recent attempts to establish a parallel leadership in Apapa, Lagos, calling it a “mere distraction.”
“I urge our leaders at all levels—national, state, local government, and ward—to stand firm.
The questionable documents brandished by the so-called faction hold no weight. We will soon render them irrelevant,” he added.
Ahmad urged party members to unite in their mission to lead Nigeria in 2027, acknowledging the challenges ahead but expressing confidence in the NNPP’s vision.
“We are the NNPP. We embody the hopes and future of our youth. We are poised to lift Nigeria out of its current state and build a nation that all citizens will be proud of,” he affirmed.
