The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the indefinite suspension of Senator Gbenga Daniel and Hon. Kunle Folarin over allegations of anti-party activities.
The decision, ratified by the State Working Committee (SWC) led by Chief Yemi Sanusi, followed disciplinary proceedings initiated by Ward 4 and Ward 6 of Sagamu Local Government.
At its meeting held on August 19, with 16 members present, the SWC reviewed reports from the ward committees, which accused Daniel and Folarin of misconduct and attempts to coerce party members into withdrawing petitions filed against them.

According to the reports, the two politicians ignored several invitations to appear before the panels or submit written defences. They were also accused of harassing certain members in an effort to frustrate the disciplinary process.
After reviewing the documentary evidence and testimonies, the ward committees recommended their suspension, which the SWC subsequently upheld.
In a statement, APC’s State Director of Publicity, Nuberu Olufemi, confirmed the development, stressing that the ratification was necessary to safeguard the party’s constitution and reinforce internal discipline.
“The party remains committed to fairness, accountability, and respect for its rules and regulations,” Olufemi said.
