Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, recently revealed that his administration has disbursed a substantial amount exceeding N112 billion in pensions and gratuities for retired civil servants across both the State and Local Government levels. This significant announcement was made during the swearing-in ceremony of four new Permanent Secretaries in the State Civil Service at the Governor’s Office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta on a Monday.
The disclosure was officially communicated by the Ogun State Government through a press release available on the official InfoStride News handle. Governor Abiodun emphasized that the disbursement of N112 billion for pensions and gratuities underscores his administration’s steadfast dedication to prioritizing the welfare of the state’s workforce.
The press release further highlighted the consistent commitment of Governor Abiodun’s government to the welfare of employees. This commitment has been demonstrated through the timely disbursement of various allowances, including transport and peculiar allowances. Additionally, the administration has addressed outstanding allowances inherited from the previous government.

Governor Abiodun took the opportunity to introduce and swear in four new permanent secretaries: Mrs. Roseline Jacob, Mr. Samuel Oyeleye, Mrs. Kehinde Akinola, and Mr. Oladipupo Ogunfowora. The governor emphasized that the selection process for these permanent secretaries was meticulous, considering seniority, merit, and the overall interest of the people of Ogun State.
Expressing optimism, Governor Abiodun believes that the newly appointed permanent secretaries will bring their expertise to bear on the implementation of government policies and programs, contributing to the achievement of Ogun State’s set objectives.
