The former Nigerian Minister For Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who is also in the race of determining the next Director General of the World Trade Organisation, has in a tweet stated that she remain positive To Lead WTO Despite the objection by United States.

The Nigeria’s former minister and candidate for the position of Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, has expressed her positivity in being appointed as the seventh head of the World Trade Organisation despite opposition from the United States..
The WTO General Council, which is the highest decision-making body of the WTO, is scheduled to ratify the report of the WTO DG selection panel which expressively identified Okonjo-Iweala as the most preferred candidate by members countries to head the organisation.
In a tweet today Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said she felt humbled to have emerged as the candidate with the largest number of votes amongst the 164 member states of the World Trade Organisation.
She however declared that the next step is on Nov 9, when the winner will be appointed, she however expressed her hope regardless of opposition.
