During the 32nd Iwo Day Celebrations in Iwo on Saturday, the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, offered counsel to Nigerians, urging patience and support for President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing efforts to lead the country towards a brighter future.
Oba Akanbi, in his address, emphasized the need for citizens to allow President Tinubu the time to make positive strides in advancing the nation.
Additionally, the monarch appealed to the Federal Government to intensify efforts in alleviating the adverse effects of subsidy removal on the Nigerian populace.

He stated, “Nigerians have to be patient and allow President Bola Tinubu to improve the fortunes of the country.
I am appealing to the Federal Government to keep on giving their best and write their names in gold.
Although the Federal Government is already doing things to cushion the effect of subsidy removal, we still want them to do more.”
The Oluwo of Iwo’s words underscore a call for collective understanding and perseverance as the nation navigates through transformative processes, while also highlighting the importance of government initiatives to mitigate the impact of policy changes on the well-being of the citizens.
