The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has just expelled 26 of its own members.
On Thursday, Infostride News claimed that the party has removed 84 members for engaging in anti-party politics.
The former governor of Osun State and current Interior Minister in President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet, Rauf Aregbesola, had 84 members dismissed, three of them were Aregbesola supporters.

Rauf Aregbesola has some supporters among the 26 APC members in Osun who have been suspended.
Noinclude Moshood Adeoti was the previous chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria and the secretary of the state government in Osun.
He ran for governor of the state twice under the party’s banner.
Former Osun State Assembly Speaker Najeem Salami, as well as former Osun APC Chairman Adelowo Adebiyi, former Osun West Senator Mudashiru Hussein, and former Rauf Aregbesola commissioners Adelani Baderinwa and Sikiru Ayedun, are among the others.
In a statement released on Thursday, APC state chairman Tajudeen Lawal said that the suspension of the party members was in response to claims of misbehavior verging on factionalisation and the development of a parallel party organ in the State and was a result of anti-party politicking.
The statement also explained that the decision was reached after careful deliberation and a comprehensive evaluation of the allegations by the Disciplinary Committee established by the party in the State.
The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has formed a Disciplinary Committee after receiving reports of anti-party activities from party members.
The charges of behavior bordering on factionalization of the party and the creation of a parallel party organ prompted this disciplinary action.
After conducting an objective investigation into the allegations, the Disciplinary Committee presented its conclusions to the State Executive Committee for deliberation.
The State Executive Committee has taken the painful but necessary action of indefinitely suspending the following members after a thorough review of the evidence and consideration of the committee’s recommendations.
