Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has called on members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to remain steadfast and avoid distractions as his administration continues to deliver dividends of democracy and good governance.
Reacting to recent developments within the party, Adeleke, in a statement issued on Saturday by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, emphasized the need for loyalty and resilience among PDP members.
He recalled that the party’s 2022 electoral victory was achieved through the dedication of faithful members, despite anti-party activities by some chieftains.

“We know how we got to Government House and those God used to make it possible,” Adeleke said.
“We also know those who opposed us then and have now embraced our good governance agenda, as well as those who continue to oppose us.”
The governor assured that the PDP in Osun has expanded its membership base with decampees from the opposition and had not lost any genuine supporter since 2022.
He highlighted his administration’s commitment to fairness, noting that infrastructure projects and appointments are equitably distributed across all federal constituencies.
“Our administration treats all federal constituencies fairly. We run a truly pan-Osun government,” he stated.
Governor Adeleke urged party members to focus on grassroots mobilisation and avoid distractions, stressing that the administration will soon resolve the local government leadership crisis in line with the rule of law.
Commending elected PDP local government chairmen and councillors for their patience and commitment, Adeleke expressed appreciation for the growing wave of endorsements for his second term ambition, reaffirming his commitment to the Imole agenda beyond 2026.
The governor’s remarks come in the wake of the resignation of Hon. Wole Oke, a high-ranking PDP member and House of Representatives member for Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, who recently left the party and called on his supporters to do the same.
