No fewer than 100,000 supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lega Local Government Area of Kebbi State have defected from the ruling party to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
The mass defection took place during a mega rally held at the weekend, where the APC supporters formally joined the ADC.
According to figures shared on the ADC mobilisation X handle, the number of defectors exceeded 120,000.

InfoStride News reports that the former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, who hails from Kebbi State, has been actively mobilising politicians and supporters into the opposition party.
Malami, who is currently being detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, is among opposition figures who have adopted the ADC as a political platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The ADC has, in recent times, recorded a surge in defections across different parts of the country as political realignments intensify ahead of the next general polls.
