The University of Ibadan has reportedly closed down it’s health centre, Jaja Clinic after one of it’s patient tested positive to coronavirus.

This was disclosed by the Director of Public Communication at the university, Mr Olatunji Oladejo, who satated that the health centre had been decontaminated and closed down subject to recommendation of the Oyo State Emergency Operations Centre.
Mr Olatunji Oladejo noted that the health centre will be closed down for the next seven days stating that before the health centre can be reopened subject to review by the Oyo State Emergency Operations Centre.
He stated that the Oyo State Emergency Operations Centre recommended that “Disinfection/Decontamination of premises which has been done; follow-up of all those who had contact with the client by the EOC; and closure of the clinic from 4.00 pm of 15 December, 2020 for a seven day period”
Mr Olatunji said that the university health centre is working with the Oyo State Emergency Operations Centre to ensure that safety measures are put in place at work. He also stated that those who enrolled for National Health Insurance Scheme can access care at the Eleyele Police clinic during the closure.
