Atiku Abubakar’s presidential campaign has claimed that Nyesom Wike, minister for the Federal Capital Territory, will be expelled from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Atiku’s Director of Research, Strategy, and Documentation, Don Pedro Obaseki, argued that Wike deserved to be fired after his repeated betrayals of the PDP, his current request for Atiku’s expulsion, and his numerous vertipurations against the party.
He claims that the former governor of Rivers State is responsible for every disagreement inside the PDP.

Obaseki said Monday while speaking to reporters in Abuja, “Wike [is] the problem of the PDP, and to expel Wike now is a task that must be done by the PDP.”
The presidential candidate Atiku and certain PDP chieftains, including Aminu Tambuwal and Sule Lamido, have recently been targeted by Wike’s calls for their expulsion from the party.
“the man who is calling for the expulsion of others from the party is the person who deserves to be expelled from the party,” Obaseki continued.
Wike is the one who established the G-5 as a cult within the party. He ran for office opposing the party’s goals, constitution, and established procedures.
It was Nyesom Wike, if someone had done something against the party. Every member of the party has faced him in battle.
Wike has gone through the danger zone; it’s time for him to get ready. We’re going to hit him like a tonne of kilos.
As the saying goes, “He has unleashed the dogs of war,” and “we will not sit back and watch him ride roughshod over the party.”
