The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has clarified that it has not zoned its ticket for the November 16, 2024, governorship election to any part of Ondo State.
In a statement released by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunbaga, the PDP assured all intending governorship aspirants in Ondo State of a level playing ground in the nomination process.
The NWC emphasized its commitment to an all-inclusive, free, fair, and transparent nomination process in accordance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) and the Party Guidelines for the Election.

To foster reconciliation and unity among party stakeholders in the state, the NWC approved the convening of a special meeting of party leaders.
This meeting will include Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, and other top party leaders from Ondo State.
The PDP urged all stakeholders to demonstrate fidelity to the party and work together for the greater interest of the party and the people of Ondo State.
The party highlighted the expectation of the people of Ondo State, who are looking to the PDP to rescue the state from what they perceive as the failed administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
