In a significant political development, members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) have defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at Ndufu Alike ward in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The defectors were received at Ndufu Alike junction by Chinedu Ogah, the member representing Ikwo/Ezza-South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.
Ogah commended their decision to join the APC and praised the leaders of the party in the ward for their commitment.

Ogah assured the defectors of inclusiveness within the APC and urged the people of Ndufu Alike ward to continue supporting the administration of Governor Francis Nwifuru.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, some former members of the PDP and Labour Party described their former parties as weak in the state. They promised to work tirelessly to strengthen the APC at the grassroots level.
Notable personalities present during the defection included Hon. Uchenna Nwanchor, the party’s ward Chairman; Hon. Osita Ogidi Ali, the Coordinator; Apostle Emmanuel Mbam, the Ward Councillor; and Nweke Elizabeth, the Women leader, among others.
