The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially appointed Mr. Ajisafe Toyese from Osun State as the party’s National Vice Chairman for the South West region.
This announcement was made by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, in a statement released in Abuja on Saturday.
According to Ologunagba, Toyese’s appointment was ratified by the party’s Working Committee on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC).
This decision follows the untimely passing of the former Vice Chairman of the South West zone, Mr. Soji Adagunodo, on May 20, 2023.
Ologunagba further explained that Toyese’s appointment was confirmed during a recent meeting of the South West Zonal caucus of the party, in accordance with Section 46 of the party’s Constitution, as amended in 2017.
The PDP praised Toyese as a dedicated and loyal member who has diligently served the party, including as a member of the 2023 Presidential Campaign Council.
