The National Working Committee, NWC, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has constituted Caretaker Committees for Lagos and Ekiti States.
This was disclosed in a statement by the National Organizing Secretary, Umar Bature.

Lagos State Caretaker Committee
According to the statement, Elder Kayode Ogunbiyi has been appointed Chairman of the Lagos Committee, with Chief Adele Bankole serving as Vice Chairman.
Other members include:
Mrs. Akinro Bolaji Rosaline, Mrs. Adebimpe Maria, Mrs. Ege Allen, Mr. Ifeanyi Okeke, Chief Adio Salami, Alh. Abiola Tella, Prince Gani Ogungbayi, Mr. Odum Kalu, Mr. Ola Odunfa, Mrs. Iberu Taiwo, Mr. Solomon Yusoof, Mr. Olusanya Abayomi, Mr. Samson Hundeyin, Mr. Oriyomi Oluwafemi, Mrs. Ijeoma Eze, Mr. Olayinka Samuel, and Mr. Jamiu Awofala.
The committee is mandated to run the affairs of the party in Lagos State for one month (30 days) or until a new executive is elected.
“In carrying out this assignment, you are guided strictly by the PDP Constitution (2017 as amended), the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended), and the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).
“It is expected that your exemplary conduct and strict adherence to rules and regulations during your assignment will justify the confidence reposed in you by the leadership of the party,” the statement said.
Ekiti State Caretaker Committee
Similarly, the NWC approved the appointment of Omolashe Lanre as Chairman of the Ekiti State Caretaker Committee, pursuant to Section 29(2)(b) of the PDP Constitution.
Members of the Ekiti committee include:
Omolashe Lanre, Femi Philips, Gani Bakare, Akande Babatunde, Tosin Joel, Ayilaran Modupe, Pelemon Dare, Chief Arogbodo Ayodele, Segun Olatunji, Bar. Gbenga Agbede, Sesan Owoeye, Gbenga Ojuawo, Arinde Jimoh, Adara Rotimi, Banji Adeleke, and Chief Tunde Ogunleye.
As with Lagos, the committee is tasked with managing the party’s affairs in Ekiti State for 30 days or until a new executive is elected.
The NWC urged both committees to adhere strictly to party regulations and national laws, expressing confidence in their ability to deliver on the mandate.
