Leaders and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ovungwu Ward 8, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, have unanimously passed a vote of no confidence in the former executive chairman of the local council area, Ifeanyi Isikaku, and members of the Ward Executive Committee.
They cited anti-party activities and negligence of duties as reasons for their decision.
The stakeholders stated that the recent actions of the individuals concerned violated the party’s constitution.

They warned these individuals to cease parading themselves as leaders and executives of Ovungwu Ward 8 and to stop convening illegal meetings, as they are no longer recognized as PDP members within the ward.
According to a communique signed by leaders and stakeholders from Ovungwu Ward in Isiala Ngwa South LGA following an enlarged party meeting, a disciplinary committee has been inaugurated to further investigate the allegations.
The committee is expected to report back to the ward promptly.
Chief Onyinyechi Eze and Barrister Anyanwu Anucha have been appointed to serve as chairman and vice chairman of the disciplinary committee, respectively.
Other members include Barrister Udo Uwaoma, Ifeanyi Nwankpa, and Obinna Gema, who will serve as the secretary.
