Dino Melaye, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, has fervently urged the cancellation of election results in five Local Government Areas (LGAs).
Making the demand through his official X account, Melaye identified the affected LGAs as Okene, Okehi, Ajaokuta, Adavi, and Ogori/Mangogo.
In his statement, Melaye claimed that the election results from these LGAs have been compromised, asserting the need for decisive action by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He insisted that INEC must annul the outcomes in these areas, citing alleged irregularities orchestrated at the highest level of the electoral body.
Describing the entire process in the concerned LGAs as a “scam,” Melaye underscored the importance of preserving the integrity of the electoral process and ensuring a fair and transparent democratic exercise.
The call for the cancellation of results reflects the candidate’s commitment to addressing perceived flaws in the electoral system to maintain public trust.
