Mr. Jesutega Onokpasa, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), claims that the PEPC’s decision on Wednesday was grounded in facts rather than emotions.
At a virtual news conference on Thursday in Abuja, Onokpasa, who is also an attorney, stated that the petitioners sought legal remedy against President Bola Tinubu’s election victory based on sentiment and not facts.
The petitioners squandered the time of the court, the lawyers, and all Nigerians involved in the case.

Saying that “the position of the law is not sentimental but factual,” he said.
According to Onokpasa, a former member of the now-defunct APC Presidential Campaign Council, numerous individuals attempted, but ultimately failed, to undermine and intimidate the courts during the PEPC.
He said that the controversial Abuja judgement on 25% of votes had brought the FCT up to par with the other states.
He went on to say that the controversial 25% vote in Abuja was an attempt to give some people more rights as citizens than others.
