Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has urged his critics to allow him pursue his political career, insisting that politics remains his primary calling.
Wike made the remark during a “thank you” visit to Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, his home council, which marked the grand finale of his tour of local government areas in Rivers State.
The former Rivers State governor said he deliberately chose politics over any other profession, stressing that individuals must clearly define the path they intend to follow in life.

“I am a politician. Choose whatever you want to do in life,” Wike said.
He noted that it is impossible to successfully pursue multiple paths at the same time, advising those who have chosen politics as a career to remain focused and avoid distractions.
Wike further emphasized that political power is not handed over freely, adding that relevance and success in politics require strength, participation and sustained engagement in the political process.
