Popular media personality Nedu Wazobia has said that it is hard to be seen as a role model in Nigeria without financial success. He recently had his say during a podcast conversation with media personality Chude Jideonwo, where they discussed the influence of money in society.
According to him, wealth now plays a significant role in how people are perceived and respected, and many individuals are now less likely to look up to someone who is financially struggling.

Nedu added that the reality is that Nigerians now equate financial success with credibility and influence.
His words, “You can’t be a role model when you don’t have money in Nigeria.
Most women wey dey live for Lekki, na men dey pay their rent.”
WOW.
