President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s unwavering dedication to eradicating terrorism, kidnapping, banditry, and other criminal activities across the nation.
Speaking at the 7th and 8th combined convocation of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) in Katsina State on Saturday, President Tinubu, represented by Prof. Abdulkarim Mohammed, Vice Chancellor of Federal University Dutse (FUD), emphasized the government’s profound concern for the country’s security.
President Tinubu asserted that his administration is fully committed to defeating these criminal activities, particularly in the northern region, but stressed the importance of collective effort and cooperation from all Nigerians.

“Security is a collective responsibility. I, therefore, appeal to all Nigerians to join hands with the government by providing useful information to security agents on suspicious persons and miscreants.
Let us keep the hope alive and be optimistic; by the grace of God, we shall overcome these challenges,” he urged.
While addressing the issue of unemployment, President Tinubu encouraged graduates to leverage the skills acquired through the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and the Federal Government’s digital innovation programs.
These initiatives aim to train two million youths and empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.
President Tinubu called on the graduands to apply the knowledge, skills, and character they acquired for the betterment of humanity.
He expressed optimism in exploring the opportunities presented in the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ of his administration, focused on positioning Nigeria as a leading nation in Africa.
The President challenged universities to contribute to national development by undertaking research and innovations that would accelerate sustainable development in the country.
Earlier, the Chancellor of the university, King Dandeson Douglas-Jaja, highlighted the growth of FUDMA since its inception in 2012.
He urged the graduates to be exemplary ambassadors of the institution and addressed the pressing security challenges facing the university, calling for assistance to address these issues.
