Timi Frank, who served as a former Deputy National Publicity Secretary for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has issued a call to the Justices of the Supreme Court, urging them to be bold as they decide whether or not to hear appeals that question Bola Tinubu’s election as President.
Frank’s call was made in response to an appeal that was filed.
In a statement that was released on Saturday, Frank made the decision.

He was responding to hearing notices that the supreme court had sent to the parties in the case, which had been set for Monday, as well as the establishment of a seven-man panel of Justices to examine the appeals filed by three presidential candidates who are contesting Tinubu’s election. These candidates are alleging that Tinubu was improperly elected.
Atiku Abubakar, representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi, representing the Labour Party (LP), and Chichi Ojei, representing the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), are the candidates for president.
He implored the Justices to understand that the appeals that they are about to hear constitute the most difficult choice that they will ever have to make in all of their many years of service on the court.
Frank stated, “We are aware that there will be a great deal of pressure on you, Justices, to act in an improper manner. There will be inducements in the form of presents, pledges, and other promises.
“I know that some of you are getting close to retiring. What kind of a legacy do you hope to leave behind after you retire? Do you want to go into retirement with riches that has been tainted with blood, considering the number of individuals whose lives were lost as a result of the election, when your conscience will never be at rest?
“Today, you have the opportunity to be vindicated by a man who wants your people to commit wrong and inflict even more suffering on Nigerians. Will God also exonerate you of your wrongdoings? When you look back on your career, what do you hope people will remember you for?
“This is not about Atiku Abubakar, and it’s not all about Peter Obi, and it’s not about the APM party,” he said. However, the legacy and example that you are about to set in Nigeria are the most important considerations here. The time has come for the Supreme Court, which serves as the very last line of defense for democracy and the rule of law, to carry out the responsibility that is vested in it.
“As a result, it is not the time to make your decision on legalistic considerations.
“In order to determine whether or not the reasons that have been presented to you have merit, look to your own consciences and to God. Before making a choice, you need to give careful consideration to the available information and the truth.
