Beatrice Ige, the sister of Lagos socialite and nightclub owner Pretty Mike, has expressed excitement following his release from detention. Recall that Mike was granted bail in the sum of N50m by the Federal High Court in Lagos after being arraigned on alleged drug-related offences connected to his Victoria Island nightclub, Proxy.
Revealing that she went to great lengths to ensure her brother returned home, Beatrice shared that she is finally able to relax after Pretty Mike regained his freedom.
Declaring that her family is not upset with the law, she added that they maintained peace to make sure the government understands that there is still civility in some Nigerians.
Her words, “Now I can relax.
I was supposed to travel out of the country today, but all my plans were aborted because I said Pretty Mike must be sleeping on his big bed before I leave.
We are not upset with the law. We upheld our peace so the government can understand there is still civility in some Nigerians. Noise doesn’t make things happen; strategy does. We are not angry despite the allegations. Now that I am involved, Proxy is coming back better.”
