Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has praised Marcus Rashford after the England forward’s brace earned a 2-1 Champions League win over Newcastle. He recently described Rashford as fantastic, saying that he must now take more steps forward.
According to him, the goal will improve Rashford‘s confidence in a Barcelona jersey, and both strikes prove that he is a superb footballer on his day.

Flick added that he is not surprised by Marcus’ clinical finishing because he has done it repeatedly in the past.
His words, “For me it was the first step. He has to make the next step.
This match, these goals here in England against Newcastle, for Barcelona in the first Champions League match this season, it’s great.
It gives him confidence in himself. This is the most important thing.
I am not surprised [by his goals]. I think he’s a fantastic player. His skills are unbelievable and his finishing is unbelievable.
I think also in the first half, he tried to create chances, but the finishing wasn’t there. In the second half it was.
For a striker, it’s always good to score. I am really happy. He is an important player. When we spoke before the season about what we needed in the team, we felt we needed a player like him.”
WOW.
Futbol Club Barcelona is a professional football club based in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, that competes in La Liga, the top flight of Spanish football.
Founded in 1899 by a group of Swiss, Catalan, German, and English footballers led by Joan Gamper, the club has become a symbol of Catalan culture and Catalanism, hence the motto “Més que un club” (“More than a club”). Unlike many other football clubs, the supporters own and operate Barcelona. It is the third-most valuable sports team in the world, worth $5.51 billion, and the world’s fourth richest football club in terms of revenue, with an annual turnover of €582.1 million.
The official Barcelona anthem is the “Cant del Barça”, written by Jaume Picas and Josep Maria Espinàs. Barcelona traditionally play in dark shades of blue and garnet stripes, hence nicknamed Blaugrana.
In March 2021, Lionel Messi overtook Xavi’s record of 767 games played for the club, and presently has made 778 official appearances in all competitions, while also holding the record for the most appearances in La Liga matches for Barcelona, with 520.
