It has come to light that Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, met with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum. The details of this meeting have been made public.
You may recall that in the wake of the political upheaval that occurred in Rivers State on Sunday night, the governors of the PDP paid a courtesy visit to the state’s previous governor on Wednesday.
Wike gave the governors an assurance that he is still a member of the main opposition party at the meeting that took place in Abuja. He also stated that he was in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to assist President Bola Tinubu in achieving his Renewed Hope Agenda goals.

Senator Bala Muhammed, who is also the chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, commended Tinubu for naming Wike as the minister for the FCT. The PDP Governors Forum was led by Senator Bala Muhammed.
The minister was also quite complimentary of Tinubu’s efforts to find a solution to the political impasse in Rivers State.
He stated, “I commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and also the PDP Governors’ Forum for stepping in to resolve the issues. I applaud both of their efforts.” It requires people with developed minds to be able to do anything like that.”
The minister, on the other hand, blamed his critics for the problems that have been occurring in the state and swore that he would not be scared by the propaganda that is spread on social media since it would not cause him to deviate from doing what is ethically sound.
The minister also expressed his gratitude to the forum for the opportunity to stop by, and he gave his word that he would keep working to help the president fulfill his goals and restore the hope of the populace.
Earlier on, Senator Mohammed praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Senator Wike to the position of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), noting that the nomination was evidence of the president’s ability to manage the country in a bipartisan manner.
Mohammed, who had previously served as the Minister for the Federal Capital Territory, stated, “At the risk of being accused of flattery, we really appreciate Mr. President and Nyesom Wike.” Despite the fact that he is still one of us as a member of the PDP, giving him this post at the FCT, which is like a state, has demonstrated the sort of leadership that Mr. President has.
Mohammed asked the FCT Minister to continue to dispense his onerous task to the President, assuring him that the PDP was fully supportive of his God-given nonpartisan responsibility. While noting that Wike’s credentials made him deserving of commendation by the president, Mohammed urged Wike to continue to dispense his onerous responsibility to the president.
‘We are proud of this dual and diverse position that you have assumed,’ he said to her. You are advancing further in your lineage. Even though we ran against one other in the election primary, I am aware that your pedigree has advanced to a very high level. Given your background in Rivers State, we have no doubt that you will be able to make significant beneficial contributions to the expansion and development of the nation, particularly at this level.
When asked about the current political climate in Rivers State, Mohammed said that the issues had been resolved by the PDP and that Rivers State is an important economic enclave of the country, which is why the president and all stakeholders were interested in finding a solution to the problems. Mohammed described the issues as a family affair of the PDP and said that the party had resolved them.
He praised the minister’s levelheadedness in the face of the crisis while also praising the significant contributions the minister had made to the development of both Rivers State and the PDP.
In addition to him, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, and Governor Kefas Agbu of Taraba State were all present at the meeting.
